Posted by Thushyanthan A on 24 September 2013 08:24 AM

"Desire2Learn (D2L) is a leading-edge and robust learning management system, developed by a Canadian company and used at almost all educational institutions in Calgary. It is designed to work well on any modern web browser, on any computer operating system. The interface is also optimized for use on mobile devices.

Over forty courses are part of the D2L Fall 2013 pilot project with over 4700 students enrolled!

A full scale launch of D2L will be in early 2014 (January), which will include a full integration of Desire2Learn with university systems. Blackboard will be retired and all courses will be on Desire2Learn by June 2014.
