CPSC "archive" File Storage
Posted by Test Staff on 13 September 2013 02:50 PM

The Department of Computer Science has additional disk space available for archiving data. This is an ideal place to keep files that are no longer accessed with any frequency but are important enough that they need to be backed up. This service is available to faculty, graduate students and staff.

This disk space is accessible directly from your unix account as

  • /home/archive/<username>

You may also setup a symbolic link from your home directory with the following command:

  • ln -s /home/archive/<username> ~/archive

From Windows, you may access this space by mapping the network drive as

  • \\\<username>

You may also add it as a permanent addition to your login by choosing the "Reconnect at logon" option in the "Map Network Drive" dialogue.

The disk currently has 5.7TB of space available.
